I love this idea! My kids love to read and have had many of their parties based on the stories in books. You could go on Scholastic and order a book for each child as a favor for very little expense.

Love, love, love the idea of a book party. Friends of mine recently had a baby shower and in lieu of shower cards, the couple were asking people to bring a children’s book instead and write their sentiments inside. I thought that idea was genius! [and eco friendly]
