Amelie’s house made these lovely lace cakes for her (and her husband’s) 40th birthday. The invitation read, “Now we are middle aged. Come celebrate our 40th birthdays! Gentle music,comfy chairs, and the opportunity to discuss house prices, schools, and parking problem with like-minded adults…”

The days are getting longer and the nights are getting warmer, which can only mean one thing – it’s sangria time! There’s really nothing that gets me in the summer spirit like sipping a nice cup of sangria outside with friends.
